One Piece Card Game has 5 core card types, each with different roles and timing. Understanding them is the foundation for deckbuilding and strategy.
Your deck's single leader card. It defines deck colors and strategy, stays in play for the whole game, and cannot be KO'd directly like Characters.
Units played to attack and defend. This is the most common card type in the game.
One-shot spell-like cards. They go to Trash after use and provide flexible effects.
Field cards that provide ongoing effects until replaced or removed.
The game's energy resource. Uses a separate 10-card DON!! deck and adds cards each turn.
